A leading Semi-Trailer Dealership in Tulsa has retained TNT Staff Pro, OK to help them identify an experienced and talented Trailer Mechanic to add to their team.
Preventative maintenance is tasked on trucks and trailers. Mechanical experience and knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems. in repairing trailers in a fast-paced environment. Welding and fabrication experience required.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm
- Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-trailer bodies, systems, and components.
- Performing preventative maintenance measures on semi-trucks and trailers
- Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required.
- Inspecting, servicing, and replacing trailer parts, including tires
- Checking and repairing the brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues
- Ensuring that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation’s road safety requirements.
- Compiling inspection reports, documenting reports, and reporting all findings to management.
- Responding as soon as possible to client queries.
- Requirements
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-year experience as a trailer mechanic
- A valid driver’s license
- Prefers experience must; weld, torque, wrenches, shill saw, air tools
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, such as hydraulics, air-breaks, and electrical systems
- Exceptional understanding of mechanical and technical information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to be "on-call" for after-hours service
- Must have basic hand tools and steel-toe boots
